When I was 28, I was introduced to Evangelical Christianity. Both my husband and I got very deeply into it – praying, tithing, attending church, studying the Bible, volunteering at church, reading Christian books, listening to Christian music, letting God lead our lives, and training up our children in the ways of the Lord.
After 5+ years of that life, my belief started to unravel and I eventually became an atheist.
You can find an overview of my journey to and from Christianity, written in a 5 part series:
How I Became a Christian at Age 28
Deeper and Deeper Still: How I Became Even More Christian
The Perfect Storm: How I Stopped Believing in God
So, Now What? (My First Few Months Post-Christianity)
Making Sense of It All in a World Without God
And the follow-up post:
Why I Left Christianity (Re-Explained)
I also labeled all of my posts about my deconversion with the ‘my deconversion‘ tag.
