if we gave just one whole day
with all the power you needed
to fix the world
you’d probably get it done:

of all this mess,
somebody had to clean up

“but wow mom the news said
all the wars have stopped
and that the corporations
are going to give back
a whole bunch of money to people
and there’s no more Global Warming
and nobody hates anybody anymore,
what did you do with all the bad guys?”

“I sent them for a time out
in a nice peaceable place, little shits.
now go do your homework,
I’ exhausted
and the day isn’t over yet.”
