Hey, blog readers. I’ve been trying to post at least weekly, so I thought I would pop in and say a quick “hi,” since I didn’t get a post finished yet.
My three kids are all sick with the whiny virus – you know the one that makes them whine and argue? – so, I haven’t had a minute of peace all week.
I think I am going to run away with my laptop to some place with good coffee and free wi-fi this weekend, when my husband is home.
Until then, here is a link that a reader named Dennis sent me, “Why ‘The Universe Is Perfectly Set Up For Life’ Is a Terrible Justification for God’s Existence,” by Greta Christina.
Hope your week is going great!
To my astonishment, Ms. Tensel, I clicked on the link you provided and was treated to this fine pop-up ad:
“Dear Reader,
“I’ll be quick. Time is running out. We are close to hitting our fundraising goal. We need $16,000 by the end of this weekend. Please put us over the top.
“You know what we give you: the most influential progressive voices; great writing; hard-hitting investigations; solutions for the future.
“Donating will be a huge help in aggressively covering the emergence of the Tea Party; pushing back against their threats of violence and uncovering the links among the extremists, the Republican establishment and Fox News.
“We think positive, but we play tough.”
Nice. Love the locution “uncovering the links among the extremists, the Republican establishment and Fox News.” The Party of Fear is at it again — even in victory. Amazing. Glad to find evidence that they “think positive.”
Ugh! Sorry about that.
As you could guess, that is a major drawback to my recent de-conversion. I am in the company of people who I generally disagree with about a lot of things.
“The Party of Fear is at it again — even in victory.”
I know what you mean. I had much hope that they would change their nasty ways after winning. No such luck.
